Field Experience and Application 实习report代写

I was tasked with visiting homes and families who were vulnerable to as per the CPS. In all the cases, I felt engaged fully while utilizing my skills and social work expertise. Though challenging especially to none experienced person like I was, I was a learning opportunity where I got to apply my class knowledge and skills into practice.

In practice, I got to interact with various clients with varying psychosocial needs. Although being an intern had no field experience on how to handle new cases with new clients much of what I learned in the classroom were applied. For instance, my visits to family one and two, virtually it was challenging as that was my first time to engage in real situations of dealing with social challenges.

I found that establishing a client relationship is critical in case formulation and assessment. The knowledge of therapeutic relationships and mindfulness, as well as Engagement and Assessment, were vital in understanding the biopsychosocial problem that I was tasked to assess. First, I had to establish a personal relationship so that I can develop trust, create an agency, essay代写

empower and control the situation

As such the client felt safer with me and felt in control of their healing process. I learned that building a good relationship with the client is the start of the clinical process which the client has to undergo.

Perhaps the most challenging task is to engage and assess the issues with children. They are vulnerable misjudgments and misrepresentations because they have the language to communicate their problems. As a social worker armed with psychological knowledge, it was essential to learn the dynamic of retrieving information from children.

In the case of home visits, sometimes the parent can be abusing or neglecting the children who don't have the language to present themselves, or maybe they are not self-aware about mistreatments. The knowledge of engagement and assessment is key on how I use my style of communication, words, tones,

facial expression, and more other subtle elements in bids creating bonds with children. The interpersonal contact between the child and that between the parent are different. I identified that there are issues in gathering information in cases which involved children. Also that the prevalence of a parent providing false information is high as they don’t want to be seen negligent or unfit to parenting.

identifying with the client’s feeling is a virtue especially when trying to establish therapeutic relationships. The interview with Nora is one of such cases that a social worker has to exercise mindfulness to identify with the client. Mindfulness is an engagement where the social worker is the problem solver.

I learned that being mindful of the client foster creativity as I become more aware of my emotions and feelings and as a result become more attuned to the feelings of the client. As such, I was able to engage well with her without biases of her addiction, mental problem, race nor religious inclination. In other words, being a self-aware help to be aware of another person’s feeling. paper代写

Moreover, the field placement also taught me how to establish self-identity.

That is being able to know my strengths and weaknesses and how to control them from affecting my interaction with the client. Self-identity helped draw a distinctive line between my individual personality and that of the client, to allow for rational and objective judgment, thinking, and decisions come into the role of assisting the client. However, this was not easy to learn as it took time and practice in training my neurons how to react.

Generally, the field attachment gave me an opportunity to learn and practice what I learned. It exposed me to real life issues in social work which cannot be acquired in class work. I was also able to apply my skills and knowledge into practice which fostered the understanding of my social work career.

However, there were some gaps in that I experienced in the field practice. 实习report代写

First, in the current world a lot has changed in social and economic perspectives and what was not considered mistreatment of the child in the old days is today treated as contempt to the child right. For instance, a child can feel mistreated if a parent refuses his/her use of the phone because it might affect her learning which results to the child stress.

During such a situation, the child can accuse the parent of emotional abuse thus posing him/her negatively. Therefore, modern psychology needs to set a limit to what constitutes an emotional abuse because some cases might constitute emotional abuse but on the part of the child. Lastly, during engagement and assessment of the child,

the skills in engaging those who cannot communicate is lacking or more should be learned. The reason being, relying on the parent’s interview tends to be subjective, biased and prevalent to lying.
