Milking, drilling and turning are part of the machining process, which basically refers to the cutting of raw materials into desired size and shape, through a controlled, material removing method and process.  制造工程作业代写

Milling

Milling machine is capable of cutting metals into different shapes and sizes, and can be used in many complicated processes and operations, which include gang milling, indexing, straddle milling and many more. Milling operations involve using multi-point rotary cutters to remove material from a work piece (Traimantec).

There are two different types of milling operations, which include peripheral milling and face milling. Face milling is used to cut flat surfaces into work pieces or cavities, either horizontally or vertically. On the other hand, peripheral milling is primarily used to cut deeper slots, gear teeth and threads. Usually the piece that is being worked on is fed in the opposite direction as the cutter rotation, which is recommended most of the times.

Turning  制造工程作业代写

Turning, is considered to be one of the most common forms of cutting metals. In turning, a workpiece is rotated about its axis as single-point cutting tools are fed into it, shearing away unwanted material and creating the desired part (SME).

The workpiece is rotated while the cutting tool is moved in a liner direction which results in cylindrical. It can be either done automatically or manually. For all turning operations there is always a machine of choice, which is called a lather. If manual turning is being carried out, then it needs to be continually supervised. Automatic turning is easier, because it allows all the parameters to be set in advance, thereby, requiring less supervision. Single point cutting products can be transformed and cut into different shapes and sizes.

Drilling

Drilling is carried out by metallic nozzles which help in creating a hole. While a drill press or even sometimes a tapping machine is specifically designed for this purpose, however, it can also be carried out using a milling machine. The shape of the drill allows extra chips, which are the waste bits that are created due to the machining process, to be removed from the work piece, thereby, creating a clearer and smoother finish.

Cutting speed, the depth and width of the cut and feed rate are all parameters which are considered during machining. The material of the work piece, dimensions, and the materials being used for tooling significantly affect these parameters. The cutting speed refers to how fast the tool cuts the material, which is measured in surface covered in a minute in feet. Cutting feed on the other hand refers to how fast a material moves across its axis towards the cutting tool (Trimantic). This is covered in the inches covered in a minute.  制造工程作业代写

Initially the material goes under rough cutting before it is given the final shape and properly finished as per required dimensions.  Copper, aluminum, and stainless steel are some of the materials that are used in these processes. Some of the products that are made out of these processed include;

  1. Dumbbells

  2. Threaded Rods

  3. Screws

  4. Rollers

  5. Gears, and

  6. Pulleys

These processes are widely used in automotive industries, and many other manufacturing industries focused on producing electronic products.
