所述词组都归属于第二人称祈使句，主语(You)都省去了。在英语口语中，主语(You)还可以不省去，而把另一方的姓名放到句尾，则在表示命令的一口气中稍稍情感颜色。比如：
You make questions, Zhou Feng. And you give answers, Chen Jing. 周凤，你提出问题。陈静，你回应。
第二人称祈使句的否认式是在动词原形前边加 Don』t(如词组4)，还可以加 never, 表明更强的否认寓意。试较为：

本句式表明对讲话者自己或对第三者提意见、指令、征询建议的一口气，因此又叫第一人称或第三人称祈使句。留意，在宾语以后用没有to的不定式作宾语补足语。
Let』s 和 Let us 是有差别的。 Let us 里的us有时候包含另一方，有时候不包括另一方，这要视状况而定；但Let』s 里的us则一直包含另一方的，即「我(们)与你(们)」也就是「我们」。
